Responsibilities
  • Collaborative Support: Work alongside experienced professionals to assist in various projects and initiatives within different departments of Veterans Affairs Canada.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research, collect data, and analyze information to contribute to policy development, program improvement, or other organizational needs.
  • Communication and Outreach: Assist in communication strategies, public outreach efforts, and engagement initiatives aimed at informing veterans and the public about available services and benefits.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance and support in areas such as data entry, documentation, scheduling, and organizing events or meetings.
  • Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to veterans' affairs, public service, and professional growth.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Political Science, Social Work, Communications, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • A genuine interest in supporting veterans and their families.
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
